At The Kings Head Docklow, we serve proper home-cooked pub food from 11am till 10:30pm, 7 days a week. Perfect whether you're popping in for lunch, dinner, or a relaxed drink.
Behind the bar, you’ll find a great selection of local real ales, including Ludlow Gold and Wye Valley favourites HPA and Butty Bach, alongside regularly changing guest ales. We also stock local ciders like Robinsons Flagon Cider and Stowford Press.
Outside, our huge beer garden offers stunning views across the Herefordshire countryside, with custom pod seating to make use of the garden even on rainy days, complete with a children’s play area, making it ideal for families.
We’re proud to be a family-friendly pub, welcoming children and dogs alike — so everyone can feel at home.

WHAT A BEER FESTIVAL!
We had our annual beer festival on Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of August 2026. A huge thank you to everyone who visited us that weekend. We are happy to report that the festival itself went amazingly! We sold the most amount of drinks and food we have ever sold during any of our previous beer festivals. The support we got during the event was outstanding and we are very grateful for everyone who attended. Safe to say, we are already excited for next year's beer festival weekend! More info here!
MEAT PLATTERS KEEP SELLING OUT!
We have added BBQ meat platters to our permanent Smash & Smoke menu and they are flying out of the smoker! Everyone seems to love them and no wonder as so much love and effort goes into smoking all the delicious meats as well as making the sausages from scratch etc.
If you would like to get your hands on one of these bad boys, reserve your platter now by phoning us or messaging us on Facebook Messenger. Please note that these platters are sold on fist come, first served basis IF NOT ordered in advance. Available only during S&S opening hours:
Friday 5pm-10.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-10.30pm!!
